On February 7th, our student Fernando González Pérez presented his thesis entitled «Genetically Engineered Hydrogels based on Elastin-like Recombinamers for Cardiovascular Applications», developed under the supervision of Prof. José Carlos Rodríguez Cabello.In his thesis, Fernando investigated the design and fabrication of novel ELR-forming hydrogels with different bioactivities towards the urokinase plasminogen activator protease, angiogenesis and neurogenesis to be used in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.
